Amish culture

Hi everyone below I will answer some questions about Amish culture and also ask a few questions. 1) I was surprised to learn how literal and direct they are when it comes to following the bible and living by the word of God. My question is how do they stay consistent in making new and younger generations understand these ways and believes and also follow them as young people of today are more strong willed 2) That its one of America's oldest inland cities and how popular farming is here 3) I really found the indoor farmer's market the most interesting because at home we don't have anything like that where im from 4) Down town Lancaster  is very different from my home town, im used to urban areas. 5) I think amish people made it clear that they dont want to engage in modern days habits therefore outsiders should leave them alone and let them be because they keep to themselfs, its rude to write and say things about people when you dont fully understand them. Hi Everyone

My name is Kamogelo and it means "acceptance" A unisex name that originates from an African language called "Setswana" in South Africa.  What surprised me most about living in the US is how much fast food people eat, I later realised that its because fast food is ridiculously cheap and easy to acess in America! meanwhile in my country its the total oppersit. One other interesting thing I noticed is how much say American kids (all ages) have in their lives and way too many rights than whats good for them if you ask me.  I've always wondered why amish people dont wear regular clothes, whats the cultural reason behind that? and do they have the freedom of choice not to wear amish clothing.  I find amish people to be kind, hardworking and peaceful. They mind their own business and don't bother anyone because they are too busy being focused on their own work and lifestyle.
